Kalenborn celebrated an anniversary party in Vettelschoß, Germany and in Vespasiano/MG, Brazil. For employees with their families and other guests, there were various demonstrations in which Kalenborn Germany showed what can be done with the materials.
At our Vettelschoss site, we are continuing to invest in improved laboratory facilities: Two new, high-performance furnaces will help in investigating resistance to wear and impact, resistance to temperature fluctuations and the quality of surfaces for our materials. Our objective is to optimise the properties and manufacturing processes for our products and thus to further improve their quality.
On 20.09.2017 the IHK, Germany’s industrial chamber of commerce, held its honour awards for the best in examinations at the Rhein-Mosel-Halle in Koblenz. One of around 400 former trainees, Maximilian Pischel, was given an award by the Industrie und Handelskammer (IHK) of Koblenz for excellent results in his examinations to become an industrial business specialist according to the central Rhine model.
Kalenborn Bazalt and Kalenborn Delma will be exhibiting new applications for wear protection at the largest trade fair covering transport and logistics for bulk materials in Poland. They will be showing off their full range of wear-protection materials for transport, handling and storage of bulk goods.
From 18 to 21 September, Kalenborn do Brasil will be present at one of the largest mining trade fairs in Latin America. On show will be the company’s full range of wear-proof materials and innovative wear protection solutions for conveyance and storage in coal mines, ore and mineral extraction, as well as raw materials processing.
Kalenborn do Brasil will be celebrating the 15th anniversary of its founding this year. What began in 2002 with just 4 employees has developed over the last decade into an important subsidiary of Kalenborn International. In Brazil, 20 employees now represent our worldwide company.
On the 10th and 11th of May, SCHÜTTGUT, the leading trade show for granules, powder and bulk solids technologies in Germany, opens its doors. Kalenborn will present itself in Hall 4 on the new stand E25-4 and will show practical solutions for the wear protection with the various exponents such as cyclone, coal bunker and pipe bends.
Kalenborn do Brasil has a new address. The assembly plant and administration offices of the Brazilian plant were previously situated at two different locations. That has now changed. Following the relocation of the administration department to Vespasiano in the north of Belo Horizonte the entire subsidiary is now at a single site.
