Optimum extraction of sinter dust in the suction duct

In pig iron production, steel mills and foundries, emissions are generated at many points, including sinter dust, which must be reliably collected and filtered. In addition to intensive filtration, the focus is on efficiency: the emissions must be extracted optimally with the lowest possible volumes of false air.

Sinter dust, for example, causes abrasion and damages the suction duct in sinter plants. Kalenborn has lined the duct with the aluminum oxide ceramic KALOCER, which protects against extreme abrasion. The lining ensures a uniform volume flow in the duct and provides a longer service life for the plant component.
