What is wear protection?
To get reliable protection against aggressive attacks, you need the right kind of armour – both in nature and in process engineering. Besides corrosion and related erosion, wear is one of the destructive forces that can be counteracted by the choice of suitable materials.

Wear
Wear is a term that describes the progressive loss of material from the surface of a solid body. It is the result of contact with and relative motion between different materials, be they in solid, liquid, or gaseous form. Wear can manifest in a variety of ways, such as abrasion, erosion, damage, or deformation.
In industry, the movement of solid materials, such as ores, gravel, shale, sand, biomass, etc., leads to regular abrasive or impact wear on plant components. Recurring shutdowns result in increased expenditure for maintenance and spare parts.
Wear protection materials
